“I’m a newbie when it comes to taking care of my mountain bike, which has sat gathering dust for some years now. Hawk listened to my concerns and suggested I get a tune up. He knows his stuff and is glad to answer any questions. I appreciate the fact that he is not condescending as I have had some bad experiences with experts in the past. Also, the pricing was more than reasonable considering the work that needed to be done. I quickly realized that things are not the same as they were 20 years ago, and there is a ton of information, equipment, parts, etc. that you can get into with these bikes! I went in to this shop and met Hawk, who was incredibly knowledgeable and professional and clearly has a passion for cycling. He took the time to go over safety, equipment, and clothing and generally discussed bikes with me without any pressure to buy anything at all. On top of all that, he looked over the bike I bought (a GT Avalanche) and confirmed that it was, in fact, in good shape but let me know that when I start to become proficient and want to take it on some tougher trails, I should probably get a safety inspection and potentially a tune-up (prices on those look fantastic) just to ensure I don’t run into problems. Overall, despite being new to biking and a potential easy target for sales pitches, I was treated very nicely, without pressure, and was assured that the staff here is available for questions and to help me anytime.
